We all know how tough 2020 was for a lot of people. The unknown, the uncertainty, the fear. 2020 was particularly scary for me because I was carrying my first child. The cancelled appointments, the social distance – it was A LOT. Plus working with all my wonderful 2020 couples on rescheduling and rearranging, I was glad to see 2020 go.
One of the most beautiful weddings I photographed in 2020 was that of Brianna and Jake! They were still able to move on with their plans and boy, did it not disappoint. The property they held their wedding at was absolutely stunning – and extremely important to them. It had been in Jake’s family for many years so they were very excited to celebrate and start their new lives together on this special place. I was able to get a preview a few months earlier at their engagement session. The transformation of the empty field and a wooded area made was truly breathtaking. The personal details, the loving touches, so much thought and creativity went into all of their planning. I knew I was in for a treat after chatting with them about their plans, but I was blow away by the end results when I showed up on their wedding day.
I hope you enjoy looking back on Brianna and Jake’s wedding with me. For all the ugly and uncertain things that came out of 2020, this was definitely a thing of beauty that came out as well.
