Super duper easy! Contracts and retainer fees are completed online. As long as you have a smart phone and a credit card, you’re golden!
HOW EASY IS IT TO BOOK?
$1000 and it comes off your balance. A paid retainer plus a signed contract is required to officially book and secure your date.
WHAT IS THE RETAINER FEE?
I do not and let me explain why. You’re hiring me for my art and my vision. It would be like hiring a painter and only being given a sketch - it’s not the finished product and not how I want to be represented. So that being said, RAW files are not available.
DO YOU DELIVER RAW FILES?
Typically two weeks for engagement sessions and 8 weeks for weddings. This timeframe isn’t set in stone and if galleries are done earlier, they will be sent over!
WHAT IS THE TURN AROUND TIME?
Since 2011 and I’ve photographed over 100 weddings. This is my full time job and has my 100% dedication. My clients and delivering a quality experience as well as product are my top priority. This isn't a 9-5 job - I try to be as accessible to my clients as possible.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A PHOTOGRAPHER? IS THIS A HOBBY OR A CAREER?

I don’t have a set amount I deliver. I estimate between 75-100 per hour of coverage.
HOW MANY PHOTOS CAN I EXPECT?
I recommend anywhere from 8 to 10 hours. 8 hours is great for one venue location. 10 hours is better for multiple venues and locations. A typical wedding, either 8 or 10 hours can easily cover from getting ready through about three hours of the reception.
HOW MANY HOURS OF COVERAGE DO I NEED?
This is an important topic to discuss and understand the backup plan if something happens. I use to shoot weddings under any circumstance, like illness. With Covid, that has changed a lot of things. While I strive to stay healthy and be at your event, things do happen and changes may need to take place. In that event, I work closely with a great community of photographers and finding my replacement shouldn’t be an issue. I also work with a very strong second shooter that would have no issue stepping in as primary for the day. No matter what, you will be covered and never without a photographer to capture your big day!
WHAT IF YOU CAN’T MAKE IT TO MY WEDDING?
Only with a retainer and signed contract! I will temporarily hold a date out of courtesy only with a scheduled consultation. I will provide a short window afterwards to give you time to consider. Dates go fast so I encourage booking early!
DO YOU HOLD A DATE?
Yes! I love to travel and open to photograph weddings anywhere in the world. Travel fees are in addition to wedding collection fees and can be discussed in detail during a consultation. Travel fees for up to two hours from the Grand Rapids area are included in all local wedding collections.
DO YOU TRAVEL?
You betcha. I’m a legal LLC with the state of Michigan and have liability insurance through Lockton Affinity. I’m happy to provide insurance information to your venue if necessary!

Yay! You said yes to me as your photographer! The next step is to fill out the custom contract I have made for you and to pay your retainer fee. I send this over via an online portal so it's easy peasy to navigate. I will also send over my bridal guide that is jammed packed with a ton of engagement session and wedding day info! It's a great resource!

The next step is to get your engagement session scheduled. I always suggest getting this on the calendar ASAP. I'm happy to help with location ideas and outfit suggestions. Referencing my bridal guide is also a great idea during this step! We'll have fun! We'll get to know each other! I always look forward to this step!

The big day is getting close! 6-8 weeks prior to the wedding, I will reach out with a questionnaire and chat about scheduling a final meeting. This is a very important step so we can finalize all the plans. I'm also offer to help you through your timeline to ensure your hours of coverage are used to their maximum potential.
